I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween Weekend! I want to thank our PTSO and SGA who organized an amazing Truck or Treat event this past week. We think this was the best one yet! Please mark your calendars for our next community event, Winter Wonderland, on Wednesday, December 10, here on campus.
Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket to the upcoming Cure Bowl as part of our school-based fundraiser. The fundraiser is still on-going! All ticket sales from now until the game will return 50% of the proceeds back to Windermere High school. This is an amazing opportunity to support the school, see some college football, and raise money for a great cause. Please see the flyer below for the direct link and more information.
The postponed varsity football game vs Oakridge will take place on Monday, November 3, at Oakridge High School. The game will start at 6:00 PM. Tickets previously purchased will be honored at the game and new tickets are available on gofan.co. Speaking of athletics, we are excited to kick-off the winter sports season! Please be sure to see the winter sports flyer below for a full list of events. Finally, mark your calendars for our fall athletic signing-day, which takes place on Wednesday, November 12, in the PAC.
Our next SAC and PTSO meetings will take place on Monday, November 10, at 5:00 PM and 5:45 PM in the media center. Everyone is welcome to attend SAC as we discuss school recognition money and provide school-based updates. PTSO will provide updates and award teacher/club grants!
Parents, as a reminder, we need your help to ensure students are practicing safe traveling practices to and from school. Recently, deputies from the Orange County Sherriff’s Office, Traffic Division, were out on 535 issuing warnings to students on E-bikes and electric scooters who were riding recklessly. Students should follow all applicable laws and cross at designated cross walks. Additionally, while crossing, students should walk their E-bike/scooter through the crosswalk. Please see below for more information provided by the district.
As always, please be sure to regularly check our website and Facebook page for important updates.
Sincerely,
Mr. Leftakis
Principal
